I decided to start a monthly favourite series where I share what I’ve been obsessing about! I’m going to share my favourite makeup & beauty items, music, food and more! So here we go, this month’s favourites:
Saving Money on Health Foods
This month I discovered Sprout Market, which basically is a mashup between Costco and About Life/ Wholefoods (I mean, need I say more?). It’s every foodie’s dream and super affordable on top of that! By signing up you can save heaps of money on healthy snacks, superfoods and cruelty-free, chemical free makeup, which is amazing since all of those things are crazy expensive in Australia! If you’re interested in saving some money and shopping all your favs effortlessly online check out Sprout Market! By using my link you also get 20% off and free shipping, yay!
Have your Cake and Eat it too
Sprout Market is also where I get my favourite ever Banana Bread Mix by Monica’s Mixes! This baby is not only gluten free but also 100% vegan and only has super healthy ingredients – no nasties! If you’re not the best at baking just like myself, this cake mix is for you! I made adorable little banana bread muffins with a sweet Tahini glaze (Tahini + coconut sugar + warm water). YUM! Shop it at Sprout Market!
Cruelty & Toxin-free Makeup
This month I tried out a new vegan & cruelty- free mascara and I’m in love! It’s the waterproof mascara by Hanami and I’ve been using it daily! Often waterproof mascaras can be a bit clumpy, but not this one, plus it keeps your lashes curled all day! Now I know Hanami isn’t the cheapest option when it comes to mascara, but if you shop it at Sprout Market you can save heaps!
Just like every girl on Instagram I’m obsessed with highlighters at the moment, specifically ones with rose gold or pink tones. This month I discovered the Natural Highlighting Powder by Benecos, which gives such a pretty glow! Shop it at Sprout Market!
Cruelty & Toxin-free Beauty
Since I’ve recently made the switch to non-toxic makeup and beauty products, I had to part ways with my former favourite nail polish (which is stuffed to the brim with chemicals). Luckily I discovered the Benecos nail polish in the colour Rose Passion which is really silmilar to the colour of my previous favourite. I also love the colour Sharp Rosé by Benecos for a more simplistic look! You can get these at Sprout Market as well!
Now let’s be real for a second. Conventional perfume is FULL of nasty chemicals and definitely not something I want to spray on my skin every day. Which is why I’m super happy to have found an absolutely delicious smelling 100% natural perfume! It’s by LaVanila in the scent Vanilla and I could honestly inhale this all day. There are many more amazing scents, but this one is my fav!
Shampoo & Conditioner
This month I tried out the Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner by Biologika and have been loving them! Both smell absolutely divine and leave my hair silky soft. Shop Biologika at Sprout Market!
I ran out of my usual deodorant so I gave a new one a try! The Lemon Kiss deodorant by Biologika smells super fresh and doesn’t give B.O. a chance! You can also buy it at Sprout Market!
Tame Impala – Currents
I recently discovered this album and fell head over heels in love with it! I listened to Tame Impala before, just not the whole album. What a mistake, this stuff is genius!
Favourite songs: Let it Happen, The Less I Know The Better, Cause I’m A Man
Panic! At The Disco – Death Of A Bachelor
I used to be a huge Panic! fan back when I was a teenager, and simply had to listen to the new album when I stumbled upon it. Little did I know I would love it so much! Major nostalgia feels and just overall good mood songs!
Favourite songs: Crazy=Genious, House of Memories, The Good, The Bad And The Dirty
This soundtrack is currently on one of my favourites to listen to! It’s mysterious, exciting and makes for a perfect playlist to work out to!
Favourite Songs: Main Titel, Stick, Battlin’ Jack Murdock
Other songs I’ve been loving are:
Hot Thoughts – Spoon
Green Light – Lorde
Adore – Amy Shark
Hola – Lanks
On My One – Jake Bugg
Saving Us A Riot – Phoria
Lone (feat. JOY.) – What So Not
My favourite facepalm politics moment of the month has got to be when President Donald Trump repeatedly misinterpreted the statements made by James Comey (Director of the FBI) and Michael Rogers (Director of National Security Agency) at their hearing regarding Trumps claims that the Obama administration ‘wire tapped’ Trump Tower. Seriously, sometimes I feel like Trumps Twitter account is run by a twelve-year-old boy – but no, it’s just him.

Speaking of Trump, my favourite podcast this month has been Intercepted with Jeremy Scahill! The podcast follows the newest developments in US politics and the Trump administration. Jeremy Scahill is one of the most inspiring investigative journalists and authors of our time and has been one of my idols for a while now. Intercepted is thought-provoking, clever and even makes you laugh at times, so definitely check it out!
This month ‘What the Health’ premiered online, a documentary by the makers of ‘Cowspiracy’. I absolutely loved every second of this eye-opening movie and it is definitely one of my all time favourite documentaries! If you haven’t seen it, go watch it!
Truth be told, I didn’t just discover this show, but still had to include it in this favourites list! It is one of the best shows I’ve ever watched and even though a lot of the themes topics have been used in other shows or movies before, Westworld is refreshingly different and has a plot twist around every corner! If you haven’t watched this outstanding show yet, you should!
Another one of my all time favourite shows, even though I only just started watching it (binge-watching is more like it, I’m already into season two). Daredevil has awesome fight scenes, a kickass soundtrack, great acting and Charlie Cox shirtless, I mean what else do I need to say to convince you? WATCH IT.
Okay, that’s it for this month’s favourites! Hope you enjoyed reading and found out about some cool stuff! x
