Since today is Sunday it can only mean one thing: Market time! I’m absolutely obsessed with going to different markets to find awesome vegan treats and hunt for cheap local or organic fruits and veggies. One of my favourite markets in my area is the organic farmers markets in French Forrest. There are heaps of stands that sell delicious vegan food and also loads of awesome fruit and veggie stands. At the moment the one thing that I always get it the sugar cane, pineapple and mint frappe which is seriously the best thing ever! This time I got a one liter bottle because why not! I also shared a vegan pecan brownie with Ben which was sent down from the heavens by angels so we could try it. No but seriously, it was amazing. There was also a musician playing the guitar and singing and I really enjoyed his music.
At night we went out for dinner to one of my favourite Thai restaurants (Reantong in Dee Why) which is actually the only Thai place in my area which has a whole separate vegan/ vegetarian menu. Like how cool is that! Usually going out for Thai food is a bit of a challenge, since they literary put fish or oyster sauce in EVERYTHING. But at Reantong the sauces for all the vegan stir frys are based off soy sauce. I got a chilli basil stir fry with tofu and a fresh young coconut which tasted super delicious. After finishing our food we went for a nice walk along the beach, which was beautiful but also very cold. This is how every Sunday should be spent!
