Today I woke up feeling adventurous so I decided to go to the city (by myself) to explore the Royal Botanic Garden since I hadn’t really done that before. I took the L90 (the struggle is real everybody, I’ve never seen worse public transport anywhere else) and got of at Wynyard Station, then walked towards Circular Quay. No matter now many times I come to the city, I still always get goosebumps when I see the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House and will never forget the first time I did. There is something so magical about these two landmarks, they are Sydney.
I made my way over to the Opera House where to my excitement Foxtel was doing a promotion for the start of the new season of Game of Thrones. Let’s just say I was fan-girling hard. They set up a huge dragon statue which had smoke coming out of its nostrils and people could get a picture with it. Of course I had to get one myself!
That little incident seriously made my day. I walked though the Botanic Garden and stopped after a while for a little snack which I had brought and read in my book. Later I found a beautiful little rose garden and took some cool shots of the Harbour Bridge.
After my walk though the Botanic Garden I went into Topshop to get a pair of jeans which I had wanted forever and they’re seriously the best jeans I’ve ever owned. They just fit me perfectly, you know. Most of the time I have the problem that jeans are way too long for me (I’m not that short but apparently pants are made for models with legs the length of a small elephant), but not this time! Winning!
The whole day I listened to a playlist called ‘Walking like a Badass’ on Spotify, seriously check it out, it will definitely make you feel like a badass. I really enjoyed myself and didn’t mind being on my own at all. I think it’s so important to be able to spend time with yourself every now and then! Today was also my fifth day of eating raw and I’m slowly getting used to it, even though it’s still a bit of a challenge with the cold weather.
